Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Reporting Template (posted 4/5/2018)
KPIs defined for a college’s student success agenda are indicators of student progress, completion, and equity. Tracking “early momentum” KPIs provides feedback on the early effects of guided pathways. Reporting on these KPIs also motivates colleges to implement practices that set the stage for subsequent success. (American Association of Community Colleges and Community College Research Center)
Guided Pathways Scale of Adoption Assessment (posted 4/5/2018)
Colleges use this tool to assess how far along they are in adopting essential guided pathways practices at scale. The assessment is most useful when responses reflect a broad range of perspectives (administrators, faculty, staff, etc.), when participants gather to discuss responses in detail, and when these in-depth conversations are facilitated by an expert third party. Early Momentum Metrics: Why They Matter for College Improvement (posted 4/5/2018)
This brief reviews three measures of early momentum — credit momentum, gateway momentum, and program momentum — that research indicates are predictors of long-term success. These metrics focus on initial conditions at colleges that are particularly important for solidifying the foundation for student success. While they are valuable individually, as a group they give a more complete picture of the impact of reforms on students. (Community College Research Center)
